PURPOSE:
For women of childbearing age and during pregnancy as a dietary supplement providing vitamin D, folic acid, iodine, and cranberry extract. Folates contribute to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and, like vitamin D, participate in the process of cell division. Supplementing with folic acid increases folate levels in mothers. A low level of folate in the mother is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. The beneficial effect occurs with a daily supplemental intake of 400 µg of folic acid for at least one month before conception and up to three months after conception.

RECOMMENDED INTAKE:
