Personalised Nutrition Programme Based on Hair Mineral Analysis

The Get Body Back Personalised Nutrition Programme is based on the results of a Hair Mineral Analysis test (HMA), which measures the levels of 33 elements in a hair sample, including essential minerals and selected toxic elements.

This laboratory analysis provides information about mineral levels and mineral balance in the body, which may help individuals better understand their nutritional status and metabolic tendencies.

Based on the results of the Hair Mineral Analysis, we prepare a personalised nutrition and supplementation recommendation plan designed to support informed decisions about diet, supplementation and lifestyle habits.

The programme typically includes:

a personalised supplementation recommendation plan
• nutritional guidance and dietary suggestions
• lifestyle and physical activity recommendations

Hair Mineral Analysis is a non-invasive laboratory test that can provide additional information about mineral balance and nutritional patterns. The programme is intended as a supportive nutritional guidance tool and may complement other health and wellness approaches.

Hair Mineral Analysis vs Blood

A blood test and a hair mineral analysis are two different diagnostic approaches that reveal different aspects of health.

Hair Mineral Analysis Test – What Does the Test Measure?

Hair Mineral Analysis (HMA) is a non-invasive laboratory test that evaluates the levels of 33 elements in a hair sample, including 26 bio-elements and 7 selected toxic elements.

Hair can reflect the presence of certain minerals and elements over time. Analysing the mineral composition of hair may provide useful information about mineral balance and nutritional patterns in the body.

The laboratory analysis measures the following elements:

Essential and trace elements (26)

Calcium (Ca), Sodium (Na), Potassium (K), Phosphorus (P), Zinc (Zn), Magnesium (Mg), Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Molybdenum (Mo), Cobalt (Co), Chromium (Cr), Lithium (Li), Strontium (Sr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Selenium (Se), Vanadium (V), Boron (B), Barium (Ba), Sulphur (S), Silver (Ag), Silicon (Si), Iodine (I), Tin (Sn), Germanium (Ge), Gold (Au).

Selected toxic elements (7)

Arsenic (As), Mercury (Hg), Aluminium (Al), Cadmium (Cd), Lead (Pb), Thallium (Tl), Beryllium (Be).

The laboratory report typically contains 36–52 pages and includes graphical presentations of mineral levels and ratios between elements.

Based on the results, the report may also provide information that can support personalised nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, including:

a metabolic type overview
• nutritional and dietary guidance
• supplementation recommendations
• lifestyle and physical activity suggestions

Hair Mineral Analysis is a non-invasive laboratory test that can provide additional information about mineral balance and nutritional patterns. It is intended as a supportive wellness tool and may complement other health and nutritional approaches.

Comprehensive Blood Test Panel – Additional Insight into Your Health

comprehensive blood test panel can provide additional information about your current physiological status and nutritional markers. Blood tests are commonly used to evaluate different biochemical parameters and may help provide insight into metabolic, hormonal and nutritional patterns in the body.

When combined with Hair Mineral Analysis, blood testing can offer a broader overview of factors that may influence energy levels, metabolism and overall wellbeing.

The recommended blood panel includes the following markers:

Anti-TG (Thyroglobulin Antibodies)
Anti-TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies)
DHEA
Ferritin
FT3 (Free Triiodothyronine)
FT4 (Free Thyroxine)
HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)
Uric Acid
Full Blood Count (FBC)
Liver Function Tests (ALT, AST, ALP, BIL, GGT)
Prolactin
Free Testosterone
TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone)
Vitamin B12
Vitamin D – 25(OH) Metabolite
HOMA-IR (Insulin Resistance Index)

These laboratory markers may provide useful information about thyroid-related parameters, metabolic markers, vitamin status and hormone balance.

Blood testing is widely used in clinical practice and can complement other wellness and nutritional assessments. When interpreted alongside Hair Mineral Analysis, it may help support more informed decisions regarding nutrition, lifestyle and supplementation strategies.

In short

🩸 Blood tests show a current snapshot of your body’s biochemical markers.

💇‍♀️ Hair Mineral Analysis shows longer-term patterns related to mineral balance and exposure to certain elements.

Blood testing reflects the present physiological status, while hair analysis may provide information about longer-term mineral patterns over time.

Please note: Blood testing is widely used to monitor many health markers. If you have any medical concerns or wish to monitor specific biomarkers, we recommend consulting your GP or healthcare professional.

Blood tests

Blood tests provide information about your body’s current physiological status. Because blood continuously circulates throughout the body, the levels of many biomarkers may change relatively quickly depending on factors such as food intake, stress, hydration, or medication.

For this reason, some blood tests are recommended on an empty stomach to help obtain more consistent results.

Overall, blood testing offers a snapshot of biochemical markers at the time of testing, reflecting your body’s current physiological state.

Hair Mineral Analysis

Hair Mineral Analysis provides a longer-term view of mineral patterns in the body. Hair grows gradually (approximately 1 cm per month), and as it forms, trace elements may become incorporated into the hair structure.

Because of this, Hair Mineral Analysis may provide information about mineral balance and the presence of selected elements over a longer period of time.

In many cases, the results can reflect mineral patterns from the previous 2–3 months, rather than short-term fluctuations that may occur in blood measurements.

What Can We Do for You in Our Personalised Nutrition Programme?

Mineral Analysis Panel

The Hair Mineral Analysis test evaluates the levels of 33 elements in the body, including 26 essential and trace elements and 7 selected toxic elements, using a small hair sample.

Essential and trace elements (26):
Calcium (Ca), Sodium (Na), Potassium (K), Phosphorus (P), Zinc (Zn), Magnesium (Mg), Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Molybdenum (Mo), Cobalt (Co), Chromium (Cr), Lithium (Li), Strontium (Sr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Selenium (Se), Vanadium (V), Boron (B), Barium (Ba), Sulphur (S), Silver (Ag), Silicon (Si), Iodine (I), Tin (Sn), Germanium (Ge), Gold (Au).

Prepare Your Hair Sample

  1. Your hair should be natural (not dyed or chemically treated).
  2. It should be clean and free from styling products such as gels, mousses or hairsprays.
  3. Cut the hair from the back of the head, between the ears (as shown in the image).

Cut the Hair Sample

  1. Use sharp scissors or a hair trimmer.
  2. Cut hair from the back of the head (between the ears) as close to the scalp as possible.
  3. Take several small sections of hair, cutting the first 3–4 cm (about 1–1.5 inches) from the scalp.
  4. If your hair is longer, send only the first 3–4 cm of hair closest to the scalp.
  5. The required sample amount is approximately 200–300 mg of hair (about one tablespoon).

If Your Hair Is Too Short

Your hair should be at least 2 cm long.

If it is shorter, please wait until it grows to the required length.

If you have a very short hairstyle, especially at the back of the head, you may collect small hair samples over a period of 8–12 weeks until you have enough for the analysis.

If your hair has been dyed, please wait at least 8 weeks after colouring, then cut 3–4 cm of hair from the scalp.

How Much Hair Should You Send?

The laboratory requires approximately one tablespoon of hair to perform the analysis.
