DESCRIPTION: The unsaturated fatty acids DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) are one of the essential building blocks - they are an irreplaceable building block for all cells in the body. The body does not have the capacity to produce these acids in sufficient quantities. DHA supplementation is particularly important when eating a small amount of fish (the main source of DHA).
Algae are a healthy, plant-based alternative as a source of important omega-3 fatty acids. Just one capsule of DHA-EPA contains as much as 250mg of DHA and EPA acids in a 2:1 ratio (approx. 167 mg DHA, approx. 83 mg EPA).
DHA plays a very important role in the structure of the brain and the organ of vision, especially in the foetus and young child (in the CNS and the retina it makes up as much as approx. 30% of phospholipids). DHA supplementation is particularly important for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. DHA deficiency reduces serotonin (the happiness hormone) in the brain and may be linked to the occurrence of ADHD, Alzheimer's disease and depression.
IN PREGNANT & BREAST-FEEDING WOMEN:
- For the development of the child's nervous system (psychomotor & intellectual functions)
- For the proper development and functioning of the child's visual system

- Due to recent misunderstandings surrounding carrageenan, we clarify:
Carrageenan is derived from the extraction of red seaweeds, which can form sticky colloids or gels in aqueous solutions. It is found in the structure of seaweeds known as Gigartina species.
The acceptable daily intake of carrageenan for an adult is 75 mg/kg of body weight. This means that a woman weighing 60 kilograms can safely consume up to about 4.5 grams of carrageenan per day, but according to general recommendations by the World Health Organization, the permissible daily intake should not exceed 3.5 grams per person.
Carrageenan was first approved for consumption in 1961. Before it was allowed to be used in food technology, it was thoroughly tested, and WHO experts assure that as a food additive, it is completely safe. This is supported by the fact that the carrageenans contained in dried thalli are used in the treatment of peptic ulcers.
Carrageenan comes in two forms – degraded, which is not approved for consumption, and undegraded, also known as native carrageenan, which, according to research, is safe.
STORAGE: Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool (15-25°C), dry place, in a tightly closed container. Protect from sunlight.
