Vitamin D3: helps with correct absorption and usage of calcium and phosphorus, maintains proper functioning of muscles and the immune system, and partakes in the process of cell division.

Fat-soluble vitamins: according to the latest scientific studies, A, D, E, K should be supplemented in the following proportions (determined with regard to vitamin D3): vitamin D3 10 000 I (250 μg), vitamin A 15 000 IU (4600 μg), vitamin E 400-600 IU (268-402 mg), vitamin K2 MK-7 minimum 400 μg.

Vitamin D3 participates in metabolic processes and has an impact on metabolic rate. Its deficiency has a negative effect on health. The most important task of vitamin D3 is the proper level of bone and teeth mineralization as well as control of calcium and phosphorus metabolism. Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin and, therefore, it is stored in the body.

Vitamin D3 regulates calcium-phosphorus metabolism. Its shortage can cause problems with musculoskeletal system like osteoporosis, osteomalacia, and rickets. Menopausal women are at the highest risk of osteoporosis, due to hormonal changes. Without vitamin D3, 2-month-old kids can develop rickets, which leads to serious growth disorders.

Our body can produce vitamin D3 if a sufficient dose of sunlight is getting to the skin (between 10 am and 2 pm); yet, it is less obtainable during winter.

There are two forms of vitamin D:D2 (ergocalciferol), vegan vitamin D, of plant-based origin can be found in yeast and vegetables. This form of vitamin D is poorly assimilable; D3 (cholecalciferol), of animal origin, can be found in fish oil, see fish, liver, eggs, dairy products. Sheep hair contains the highest concentration of vitamin D3, and that is where it is extracted from for diet supplement purposes (cholecalciferol from lanoline).

Vitamin K2 MK-7: keeps arteries in good condition, helps with correct absorption and distribution of calcium and phosphorus in the body, increases their absorption from food. It also regulates the level of calcium in the blood decreasing the risk of coronary disease and maintains healthy bones and teeth.

Scientific research shows that long-term intake of vitamin K2 MK-7 results in a significant increase of protection from disorders of arteries and bones. It decreases the risk of malignant cancers, eg. breast or kidney cancer. Vitamin K2 supplementation increases immunity to infections.

Vitamin K2 MK-7 is highly effective in the prophylaxis of osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s disease.

Vitamin K2 MK-7 inhibits a decline of elasticity of blood vessels in consequence of reposition of calcium and phosphorus salts. It prevents calcification of blood vessels, especially in people with a high risk of vitamin K2 deficiency or calcifications. It is accomplished in the following way: MGP protein in the blood serum binds calciumphosphorus salts, therefore preventing their deposition in vessels. Its functioning is dependent on vitamin K2 MK-7. When it is deficient, the protein is inactive and cannot restrain the calcification process.
